Watermelon, a seasonal fruit which is refreshingly good.
Makes: 300 ml.
What you need:
1 cup watermelon cubes, 2 teaspoons of honey (optional) 2 cups ice cubes
Note: Highly recommended> Seedless watermelon
How to make:
Our home grown watermelon. It’s more than enough for today’s drink.
Choose a good watermelon. These one is very large and round in shape. Watermelon at their best during summer.
Halve the watermelon lengthways and cut into wedges.
Slice the watermelon wedges into triangles or cubes.
Remove the seeds. Set aside
Put together watermelon cubes and honey. blend it twice. Add ice cubes in a blender. Puree until thick and smooth. Adjust the taste,you can add more honey if you want.
Pour into tall glasses and garnish with watermelon slices or mint. Serve immediately.
If you are using a whole watermelon that you only need few pieces for the cool shake? It’s just as too big for a glass of shake. What are you going to do with the other half left? As you know, watermelon is good as a snack , juice or dessert. Here are some ideas using fresh watermelon.
For individual piece.
Combine watermelon slices with other fruits. Here’s my Dragon Fruit Bowl with different fruit slices. Serve it with decorative pickers. It’s easier to pick-up fruits using these kind of decorative pickers.
Single serving with 2 different fruit combinations.
Fresh Fruit Medley Plate. For group serving using a platter or a big plate.
