Delicious Fried Oysters

A recipe for busy days.I started cooking at young age. I was about ten years old when I started to cook this kind of recipe.Till now, it’s still our favorite meal! The kind of cooking tecnique here is similar with the Tempura prawns.


Preparation time: 20 minutes

Total cooking time: 15 minutes



2 dozen fresh shelled oysters

1/2 cup cornflour

vegetable oil for deep frying

pinch of pepper

1 teaspoon Ginisa mix or salt

2 cloves garlic pounded

40 g butter



How to clean ans shelled the oysters? 



1. Wash and drain the oysters. Make sure it is thoroughly dry.


2. Mix the cornflour together with the pepper and Ginisa mix.


3.Spread the cornflour on a plate and roll the oysters thoroughly until coated. The oysters must be flatly coated.


4.Heat oil and butter in a frying pan. Add the butter and the garlic. wait until the garlic is golden brown and add oysters in batches arranging them properly.Fry for about 5 minutes until golden,turning once. Repeat with the remaining oysters.


5. Serve with lemon or, cucumber slices.Goes well with hot rice.

To make the dipping sauce: Combine soy sauce with Worcestershire  and oil. You may also like the sweet and sour sauce would be good.
