1.1- 1.4-kg. (2 ½-3-lb) oven ready chicken
100 g (4 oz.) plain flour
150 ml. (1/4 pint) milk
15 g. (1/2 oz.) butter, melted
Tomato sauce, optional
1. Joint the chicken. I mixed the flour and salt in a bowl. I added half of milk and beaten until smooth. Gradually beating the other remaining milk and melted butter.
2. I heated the oil in a large frying pan. I dipped the chicken pieces into the butter and fry until golden brown.
