Shrimps with Garlic

This is a recipe for busy days. I learned this recipe from my grandmother and so happy with the result because my first attempt was successful and the taste was superb. It is very easy to prepare and does not consume  more time in the kitchen. Shrimps are best prepared just before serving.  The recipe is not suitable to freeze or microwave.

Ingredients:

1 ½ kg uncooked shrimps

30 g butter

1 clove garlic, chopped

2 tablespoons Worcestershire

300 ml carton thickened cream

½ teaspoon sugar

Direction

Shell and devein shrimps, leaving tails intact. Heat butter in large frying pan until butter begins to brown. Gradually add shrimps to pan in single layer, stir constantly over high heat for about 2 minutes or until shrimps are just cooked; drain. Add garlic to remaining butter in pan, stir over medium heat until garlic is lightly browned. Stir in sauce, cream and sugar, bring to boil. Boil for about 3 minutes or until sauce is reduced and thickened slightly. Add the shrimps, cook few minutes or until shrimps are tender and heated through. Serve with steamed asparagus.
